  • Assigns digest value to appropriate element in list of change sets

• Divides change set list in 2; builds and tests at midpoint

  • Redirects test file output to file

  • Calculates md5_hex digest of file

  • Assigns digest value; compares with digests of start and end points

• Rinse; repeat until all transitions are identified
